Stress and Anxiety Are Here to Stay...

So, Let's Learn How to Co-Exist

Before you close the page in frustration, let us explain.
STEP ONE to any form of "healing" is acknowledging you have a problem that requires help. Congratulations on taking that first massive leap! STEP TWO is accepting that stress and anxiety are a completely normal part of the human experience. It's impossible to totally eliminate feelings of stress and anxiety from your life! There will always be something or someone that throws you off balance and leaves you feeling overwhelmed.

Trying to lead a life that is 100% peace and tranquility will leave you disappointed but learning how to properly co-exist with stress and anxiety through healthy routines and habits will ultimately lead to a happier, healthier, and more productive life. STEP THREE is putting a plan in place.
Luckily, you've come to the right place.

Build a Plan By Embracing The Big Three...

MIND

The power of the human mind is
one of the greatest forces we
can tap into.

Unfortunately, its' powers are greatly ignored and relatively unknown,
making it extremely underutilized.

The INHABIT Method aims to unlock that unlimited potential.

BODY

Humans severely underestimate the power and resilience of the body.
Imagine the young adrenaline-fueled mother who lifts a full-size sedan to rescue her trapped child.
The INHABIT Method will unveil the incredible power and adaptability that we all possess as humans.

EARTH

4.567 billion years. 1 planet.

Since the beginning of time, inhabitants of earth have used nature as a means to heal and establish a spiritual connection with the mind and body.

The INHABIT Method will teach you the ways to rebuild that relationship with our planet.

HABIT #1: Breathwork

Breathwork takes the one thing you can't live without and uses it to ignite unlimited energy.

We can survive a couple of weeks without food, a few days without water, but we would die within a few minutes without oxygen.

However, just breathing won't get the job done. We must learn to breathe consciously.  It is the one thing that will bring you closest to SUPERHUMAN.

Slow, controlled breaths originating from your diaphragm will aid in improved focus, calmed nerves, and replenishing sleep schedules.

HABIT #2: Nutrition

What you put in contributes to what you get out.  It's as simple as that.

With dozens of fad diets cluttering the internet, it can be next to impossible to sift through all the information and nail down a  clean eating plan.

At INHABIT, we try and keep it simple - eat a variety of different foods of various colors, in their simplest, most natural form.

This includes organic fruits, vegetables, eggs, healthy fats, and yes, even CARBS!

The easiest way to begin is by eliminating the "guilty pleasure" foods.  The things can say FOR CERTAIN aren't giving you any nutritional benefits.

From there, you can begin to gradually supplement them with more clean, whole foods.

HABIT #3: Movement

There is a huge mismatch between the amount of physical activity we receive in our daily lives and the amount of activity our bodies require to perform at its highest potential.

Due to the nature of modern living, the average American can spend up to 83,000 hours sitting in a lifetime!

While it seems like exercise is the last thing you have time for in your busy schedule, it could be the one component that impacts your daily routine the most.

Key habits to ensure that you can get more movement in your daily life are:  working out first thing in the morning, going right to the gym from work (NOT home first), taking walks, incorporating a standing desk into your work routine, building out at least 30 mins a day towards fitness, and incorporating a few minutes of stretching prior to bed.

HABIT #4: Meditation

The average person has 6,240 thoughts in a day. With all of that clutter, it can be easy to be consumed by your thoughts, losing focus on the world around you.

It's crucial to find a few minutes a day to detach from the craziness and focus on being mindful and present.

Meditation presents a fantastic way to achieve this.

Incorporating an INHABIT meditation practice into your routine will:  increase overall self awareness, ease nerves and anxious thoughts, reduce mental and physical stress, lengthen your attention span, improve sleep, potentially reduce age-related memory loss, and increase kindness; both to yourself and others.

Relaxing in Nature

HABIT #5: Vitamin "N" (Nature)

Nature has an incredible way of making life's problems seem trivial and insignificant. That's why we added this as a pivotal part of The INHABIT Method. Getting out in the natural world has shown incredible benefits, such as: mood boosts, increased focus, increased energy levels, better sleep habits, and replenished Vitamin D levels (crucial for mental and physical health).

Here are a few easy ways to incorporate higher levels of Vitamin N in your daily life:

  • Let nature come to you - if you're struggling to get outside, start off by keeping the window open in your home, allowing sunlight, fresh air, and the sounds of nature to infiltrate your space.

  • Take a walk - find at least 10 minutes in your day to take a mindful walk outside.  No phone, no music, just you and the sounds and sights around you.

  • Take notice - when you're on a walk or out in nature, observe one new thing a day that you hadn't noticed before.

  • Stargaze - stargazing is an amazing way to admire the vastness of the universe and the possibilities that it offers. Lay out a blanket and soak in the next clear night!

Planting a Tree

HABIT #6: Conservation

Giving back to our planet will allow you to enjoy it in its highest form, while also keeping it around for future generations.

It is incumbent upon us to be responsible for our actions and how they impact the planet.

There are many ways you can minimize your carbon footprint and protect the planet, a few being:

  • Recycling

  • Limiting water use

  • Minimizing electricity use

  • Planting our own personal garden

If we don't hold ourselves accountable, the damages could be irreversible.

HABIT #7: Reflection

Reflection provides you the opportunity to routinely check in with yourself and explore your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.

Without regular check ins and adjustments, you'll find yourself aimlessly wandering, making inconsistent or limited progress towards your goals and aspirations.

Our favorite way to reflect is by logging our daily thoughts in a journal.

Some of the benefits gained through journaling are:

  • Remembering important events, to-do's, or lessons

  • Helping to process ideas and emotions

  • Helps you achieve your goals
